Local Body Restructuring Commission

The Local Body Restructuring Commission has planned its working methodology, which will serve as its premise while setting up a preparatory idea for rebuilding. The commission is ordered to decide the number and fringes of Village Councils, Municipal Councils and Special, secured, or independent locales to be shaped inside one year of its arrangement. As the nation has decided on a government regulatory model, rebuilding of the state, including of neighborhood bodies, is one of the real undertakings that should be finished.
The Cabinet has affirmed the Terms of Reference of the nine-part commission framed on March 14.
As per Member Secretary Hari Poudel, the commission will set up a simple draft on the numbers and outskirts of neighborhood bodies by mid-August and hold locale level discourses on the draft by early September. After that option proposition will be concentrated on and a last report will be set up by mid-March, Poudel said.
To help the commission, Ministry of Federal Affairs and Local Development has officially framed Local Level Restructuring Technical Assistance Committees in all areas.
